CALL FOR NEW WORKS!
Atlantis Playmakers is presenting a festival of new works, March 30-April 28 with productions, readings and workshop rehearsals.
Submission Guidelines: 1) All works must be original and unproduced, staged readings are OK. 2) One submission per playwright please by February 29, 2012. Submit in pdf format please to scripts@AtlantisPlaymakers.com adn include the following in your email: - Playwright contact information - Running time of play (please do a read through to check before submitting) - General Category (drama, comedy, theater for children, etc) - Brief plot synopsis - Cast gender breakdown and character descriptions - Please indicate if you have been working with a cast and/or director and would like to have your current group present the work - If you like you may include bio information for the playwright. Previous productions are not required, playwrights of all levels are welcome.

Atlantis Playmakers now offers "Playwright Packages" for local playwrights as well as a "Playwright in Residence" opportunity.
We are a small theater company which operates an intimate performance space (around 30 seats) with great acoustics, wheelchair accessibility and free parking. We do not use our space 365 days a year, so our hope is to help playwrights bring new works tothe stage by offering an affordable framework to do so.
Playwright Packages: (no deadline) We know that submitting and work-shopping works can be helpful at times, but can also be slow and frustrating, so we are putting your play in your hands (with as much or as little help as you'd like), cutting out the selection process and offering our space at very low rates to help get new work 'out there'. Playwright in Reidence Application - Deadline December 31 for the following season We are seeking one, possibly two comedies for production in June 2011 - playwrights with full length or one acts may apply. Our theater is a gem, a simple black box with high ceilings and great acoustics. Our mission is to explore, imagine and create new ways of telling stories.
